This fall, the Bonneville Education Foundation hosted our first-ever Touchdowns for Teachers event — and it was an incredible success! What began as a fun idea to celebrate our teachers and raise funds for grants this year quickly became a heartwarming display of the community spirit that makes Bonneville School District 93 so special.
We are deeply grateful for the amazing support we received from across our community. From the players and coaches who took the field, to the volunteers who made everything run smoothly, to the families and fans who filled the stands and cheered with such enthusiasm.
A special thank you goes out to the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and our dedicated School Resource Officers for joining us and ensuring a safe and joyful evening for all. We were also thrilled to welcome the K9 Heroes team, featuring Strider, the most lovable therapy dog around, who brought smiles to everyone he met.
We’re especially grateful to our medical partners, Dr. Bryan Van Dyke and Summit Orthopedics, for volunteering their expertise on the sidelines and keeping our players safe. Thank you as well to the referees, Bonneville High School staff, and our incredible cheer and performance groups who brought so much energy and joy to the night:
Black Canyon Middle School Cheerleaders
Jr. Knightline from Sandcreek Middle School
Rimrock Elementary Kindergarteners, who were escorted by their teacher and BEF President Brooklyn Rasmussen and proudly presented the decorated pink football to our winning team
We also want to thank Fixxology on Sunnyside for keeping our players, volunteers, and fans hydrated and happy with drinks and snacks all evening long! And a huge shoutout to the Thunder Ridge High School National Honor Society for adding so much fun and color with their amazing face painting station.
And of course, a huge thank you to our Master of Ceremonies, Steve Dutcher from Action Motor Sports, who kept the game on time, the crowd entertained, and the energy high all night long!
Every detail of this event was made possible by the generosity, teamwork, and heart of our community. From the laughter in the bleachers to the pink-tinted glow of the field lights, Touchdowns for Teachers reminded us that when our schools and community come together, we can accomplish something truly special.
From all of us at the Bonneville Education Foundation, thank you for showing up, cheering loud, and believing in our mission to support teachers and students across District 93.
We can’t wait to see you next year
under the Friday night lights!
